Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Mac Health Apps, based in the Netherlands (“we”) about Disk Cleaner (“the app”) and this website. By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't download or use the app.
1. Your licence
The app is free. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on Macs you own or control, for personal or work use. You may not:
- sell, rent or redistribute the app, or a modified copy of it, without our written permission;
- remove its copyright notices or present it as your own;
- use it to break the law or to access computers you aren't allowed to access.
We keep all rights in the app that these terms don't give you.
2. You decide what is removed
The app scans your Mac and suggests files, caches, simulators, images and other items you may want to remove. It never removes anything on its own: you review the list and confirm each cleanup, and removed items go to the Trash.
- You are responsible for checking what you select before you confirm, and for emptying the Trash only when you're sure.
- Keep current backups of anything you care about — for example with Time Machine — before you clean.
- Some items come back only by downloading or building them again, which can take time and network traffic.
- The app may show commands, such as an update command for a developer tool or a fix that needs administrator rights. You choose whether to run them, and you run them yourself.
3. Checks are information, not a guarantee
Security, network, toolchain and temperature results are based on what macOS and public sources report at the time of the scan. They help you find problems; they don't certify that your Mac is secure, up to date or healthy, and they don't replace security software or professional advice. Release schedules come from third parties such as endoflife.date and nodejs.org, which we don't control.
4. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the app and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be error-free, work without interruption, or work with every Mac, macOS version or developer tool.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files, projects, profits, revenue or business, that result from using or being unable to use the app or this website — even if we were told such damage was possible. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for it; the app is free, so that amount is zero.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights your local consumer law gives you and that a contract can't take away.
6. Other companies' products
Apple, Mac, macOS, Xcode and other product names are trademarks of their owners. The app is not made, endorsed or supported by Apple or by the makers of the developer tools it works with. Your use of those tools is governed by their own terms.
7. Privacy
How the app and this website handle data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
8. Updates and ending
We may release updates, change features or stop offering the app at any time. You can stop using the app whenever you like by moving it to the Trash. If you break these terms, your licence ends and you must stop using the app.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version applies from the date shown below; if a change is significant, we'll say so on this site. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
